Platinum Mortgage is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the roles of Conventional and/or FHA/VA/USDA Underwriters in our Huntsville, AL location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Underwrite loans in accordance with Platinum Mortgage, HUD, VA, Agency and Investor Guidelines
Ensure loans are within compliance of Guidelines and Platinum Mortgage Quality Control Plan
Obtain CHUMS-HUD and VA LAPP Approval with Platinum Mortgage
Review and clear closings
Learn Company Software-Mortgage Builder and Blitz Docs
Learn Company Loan Programs and Guidelines
Complete tracking information by utilizing conversation log in Mortgage Builder
Attend all training sessions provided by the Company
Any task deemed necessary by Management
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess strong communication skills, work ethic, positive attitude, work well with others
Must have at least 1 year of recent front-line wholesale underwriting experience
Must have at least 3-5 years of qualified mortgage underwriting experience
Innovative problem solving ability
Ability to follow moderately complex oral and written instructions
Proficient in Desktop Underwriter, Mortgage Software
High School diploma or equivalent
